Payment: We ask that you pay a deposit when you make your booking, and rest of payment locally to the rental station.

 

Payment

The following forms of payment are generally accepted in Turkey:

Visa, MasterCard, American Express

ACCEPTED:  MasterCard, Visa, American Express

NOT ACCEPTED: Pre-paid credit cards, Laser, Maestro, debit, Diners or Switch cards

A valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as guarantee for the rental. Our local car rental partner may reserve an amount of 350-950 Euro (depending on your selected car group) as guarantee, which will be released after the end of the rental period if no damage/theft has occurred.

In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card or lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card, car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

Driver and Licence Requirements

All driving licences which have been issued within the European Community will be accepted.

International driving licences (IDP)   will be accepted.

All National driving licences in Roman Alphabet and in a credit card format that are subject to the list of contracting parties to the convention on road traffic in Vienna, will be accepted.

All other National driving licences must be accompanied by a valid International Drivers Permit in Roman Alphabet.

Minimum age 21 years.

Maximum age 65 years.

Drivers must have held a full licence for a minimum of 3 years.

Drivers must also show their passport or national ID card on collection as additional proof of identity.

Car types

Reservations are always confirmed for a given Car Group -not for a specific car model- The car on your voucher represents the vehicle for the class (Group) you have booked. We cannot guarantee a specific make or model. Any specific cars mentioned are simply typical examples of the size, specifications and performance applying to that car group.

State/Border Restrictions

Not permitted. Vehicles are NOT permitted to be taken out of Turkish borders.

Toll Roads Policy

Toll Roads are Not included in the rates. The cars are provided with a toll device which records the usage of toll roads. At the end of the rental the cost  usage of toll roads will be charged to customer.

 

 

Collection Time

Vehicles will only be held available for up to two hours after the agreed collection time, clients must contact us if they will arrive before or after the registered time on the voucher.

Mileage Allowance

The Vehicle is provided with an unlimited Kilometer / Mileage Allowance.

Third Party Liability Insurance

THIRD PARTY INSURANCE (Required by Law): - 

Coverage limits:

a) Third Party Bodily Injury or death up to 1.500.000,00 EURO

b) Third Party Property Damage 1.500.000,00 EURO

Roadside Assistance

24 hour roadside assistance is provided.

Taxes & Surcharges

Bookings include all local taxes.

Additional Drivers:

First additional driver is free of charge. From the second additional driver onwards an additional charge applies of 6,00€ per day per driver with maximum charge 100,00€ . Minimum age restrictions apply.

 

Fuel Policy: Same to Same

 

Fines and Penalties

You are responsible for the cost of any parking fines or other penalties incurred whilst the Vehicle is on rent to you. The supplier will pass the relevant charge on to you plus any administrative expenses.

 

Out of Hours Charge

Out of hours charge is applied outside the Office Opening Hours:

Out of hours service in following locations: Gunesli city office, Bostanci city office, Bahcesehir office Istanbul between 18.30 to 09.00 from Monday to Saturday and Sunday all day long is available with an extra charge of 50,00 euro per service.

Out of hours service in the following location: Taksim city center office between 18.30 to 09.00 from Monday to Saturday, Sunday between 16.00 to 10.00 is available with an extra charge of 50,00 euro per service.

Out of hours service in the following locations: Istanbul Hotels, Marmaris office, Marmaris Hotels, Dalaman Hotels, Ankara Hotels, Izmir Hotels and Izmir Port between 18.30 to 09.00 is available with an extra charge of 50,00 euro per service.

 

Hotel  and Port deliveries:

Hotel and Port deliveries are available with an additional charge of 50,00€ per service.

 

Special Requests

Special Request items are available On Request and if applicable are Subject to Availability and Seasonal Variation, and will be provided by location. Special requests cannot be guaranteed. For most locations a security deposit is generally required.

 

Baby / Child Seats : 6,00€/day

Baby and Child Seats are available with an extra charge of 6,00€/day with max charge of 100,00€

Booster Seats : 6,00€/day

Booster Seat is available with an extra charge of 6,00€/day with max charge of 100,00€

Navigation System : 15,00€/day

Navigation System is available with an extra charge of 15,00€/day with max charge of 150,00€

Snow Chains: 30,00 €/rental

Snow Chains are available with an extra charge of 30€ per rental

Insurance

The customer understands that all insurance cover is provided by the company supplying the vehicle for rental and not Autounion car rental. Liability for claims in excess of the insurance cover purchased rests with the hirer of the vehicle. Autounion car rental does not provide insurance cover of any kind in relation to the hire of the vehicle and is not liable for damages incurred in the event of an accident.

IF THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT PRESENT A POLICE REORT FOR THE ACCIDENT, THE FULL CHARGES OF THE DAMAGE WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CLIENT.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with excess amount

Is included in the booking cost and reduces the financial liability up to a maximum of: 1000€ (incl. TAX) for groups A,A1,B,B1,BA,BB,C,CA,D,D1,DD,F,H1,K,KA,N,NA,   1500€ (incl. TAX) for group E1,  1900€ (incl. TAX) for groups J,J1,J2,  2500€ (incl. TAX) for groups J2A,J3A,M1,M1A,M1D.

 

CDW does not provide any coverage concerning damages provoked at the underside part of the vehicle, inside part of the vehicle-saloon, wind shields, mirrors and tires. Basic condition is that the damage is not due to infringement of Turkey Road Circulation Code. The Accident Statement should always be supplemented so that the insurances’ covers will be in effect. In case of car accident and damages police report is mandatory. Without police report the client takes full responsibility.

In case of accident, the client must contact the police and report the incident immediately, and submit a copy of the police report, the rental agreement to the rental location. CDW protection does not apply beyond the rental date agreed with the pickup location. For details of this insurance, please check with the supplier on collection of the Vehicle

Additional Insurance

FULL DAMAGE WAIVER (FDW) INCLUDING DAMAGES TO WHEELS, TYRES AND GLASS

FDW limits the liability in case of accidents to €0 (Zero) by paying the daily amount of:  €15,00 (incl. TAX) for all car groups except from M1A and M1D which the daily amount is  €25,00 (incl. TAX)

*Note: Always, a valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as guarantee for the rental.

Exceptions in CDW, FDW:

IF THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT PRESENT A POLICE REORT FOR THE ACCIDENT, THE FULL CHARGES OF THE DAMAGE WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CLIENT.

 

Charges for any of the damages written below will be charged directly to the client, the most important are the following: Antenna, trays, damage to car lock, loss or damage to keys, windshield wipers, interior of the car, spare key and car jack, hubcap, lights, gas cap, damage to upholstery of a car, damages to the roof, damages caused by roof rack and any luggage on it, extreme dirtiness in the car, personal belongings in a rented car, damage due to negligence, fuel errors, damage to child seats and baby seats, lack of electricity because of forgotten turned on electrical devices, loss of car documents, loss of registration plate. The car rental company, in any case, is not obligated to replace a flat tyre or damages in music devices (radio, CD/mp3 player, etc.).

Towing costs are not covered by any insurance.

Autounion car rental will not refund any telephone, taxi or hotel costs.

Autounion car rental or the car rental company will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, causing willful damage, off road driving, driving without care and attention or damages caused by negligence and traffic violations.

The client will accept direct responsibility in respect of such claims.

Any unnoticed accident or damage to the vehicle may be interpreted as negligence. This may result in a charge to the client.

THEFT (TW): Theft Protection (TP) : Is included. In the case of theft or fire, the client must contact the police and report the incident immediately, and submit a copy of the police report, the rental agreement and the Vehicles keys to the rental location. Theft protection does not apply beyond the rental date agreed with the pickup location. For details of this insurance, please check with the supplier on collection of the Vehicle.

Renter’s Obligation:

The vehicle should be used only by the renter or other additional drivers mentioned on the rental agreement. The vehicle is prohibited to be used, for infringement of provisions of the Turkey Road Circulation Code, for purposes opposite to the Turkey laws, for towing other vehicles, in order to transport heavy objects or baggage.

Cancellation policy

24 hours prior to arrival no cancellation fee is required, less than 24 hours a cancellation fee equal to the deposit given at the time of reservation/confirmation is required.
