Local Terms: Morocco

Payment: We ask that you pay a deposit when you make your booking, and rest of payment locally to the rental station.

Payment

The following forms of payment are generally accepted in Morocco :

Visa,  MasterCard

ACCEPTED:  MasterCard, Visa

NOT ACCEPTED: Pre-paid credit cards, Laser, Maestro, debit, American Express, Diners or Switch cards

A valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as guarantee for the rental. Our local car rental partner may reserve an amount of 1.000-3.000 Euro (depending on your selected car group) as guarantee, which will be released after the end of the rental period if no damage/theft has occurred.

In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card or lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card, car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

Driver and Licence Requirements

All driving licences which have been issued within the European Community will be accepted.

International driving licences (IDP) will be accepted.

All National driving licences in Roman Alphabet and in a credit card format that are subject to the list of contracting parties to the convention on road traffic in Vienna, will be accepted.

All other National driving licences will be accepted

Minimum age 23 years, maximum age 80 years.

Drivers must have held a full licence for a minimum of 1 year.

Drivers must also show their passport or national ID card on collection as additional proof of identity.

Car types

Reservations are always confirmed for a given Car Group -not for a specific car model- The car on your voucher represents the vehicle for the class (Group) you have booked. We cannot guarantee a specific make or model. Any specific cars mentioned are simply typical examples of the size, specifications and performance applying to that car group.

State/Border Restrictions

Vehicles are NOT permitted to be taken out of Moroccan borders.

One-way Rentals

Collection Time

Vehicles will only be held available for up to two hours after the agreed collection time, clients must contact us if they will arrive before or after the registered time on the voucher.

Included in your booking cost:

Mileage Allowance

The Vehicle is provided with an unlimited Kilometer / Mileage Allowance.

Third Party Liability Insurance

Third party up to 50.000.000 MAD  for bodily injuries and 50.000.000 MAD  for property damages.

Roadside Assistance

24 hour roadside assistance is provided.

Taxes & Surcharges

Bookings include all local taxes.

Additional Drivers:

First additional driver is free of charge. From the second additional driver onwards an additional charge applies of 3,72€ per day per driver. Minimum age restrictions apply.Additional drivers must present either passport or ID card in addition to drivers’ licence.

Fuel Policy: Same to Same

Fuel is paid by client and must return the vehicle with the same amount as he collected or the difference will be charged locally.

Fines and Penalties

Clients are responsible for the cost of any parking fines or other penalties incurred whilst the Vehicle is on rent to them. The supplier will pass the relevant charge on to the customer plus any administrative expenses.

Out of Hours Charge

Out of hours service in Airports (Casablanca, Tangier, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, Fes) and Casablanca Office near the Airport between 22.30 to 07.30 o' clock are available with an extra charge of 25,00 euro per service.

Out of hours service in the following locations: Casablanca office, Tangier office, Marrakech office, Agadir office,  Rabat hotel, Fes office, Fes hotel, hotel delivery and collections services in all cities, port delivery and collection service between 19.30 to 08.30 o' clock are available with an extra charge of 25,00 euro per service.

Late Returns

If the Vehicle is returned later than the time specified in the voucher, the supplier will apply a charge.

Fes hotel delivery

Baby seats are available with an extra charge of 3,72€/day and must be fitted by a parent or guardian (Client must specify the age of baby).

Navigation System is available with an extra charge of 7,44€/day.

Roof Racks

Not available

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with excess amount Is included in the booking cost and reduces the financial liability up to a maximum of :

CDW does NOT cover glass, wheels, interior, roof or undercarriage or charges (e.g. for towing or off-road time) or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings)

In case of accident, the client must contact the police and report the incident immediately, and submit a copy of the police report, the rental agreement to the rental location. CDW protection does not apply beyond the rental date agreed with the pickup location. For details of this insurance, please check with the supplier on collection of the Vehicle.

Additional Insurance

Damage excess reduction is available  at the Rental Desk (Locally) :

Border Exit / Ferry travel:

Not permitted.

Exceptions in CDW :

Charges for any of the damages written below will be charged directly to the client, the most important are the following: wheels, tires, underside of the car, glass or damages caused to the underside of the car,  glass,  antenna, trays, damage to car lock, loss or damage to keys, windshield wipers, interior of the car, spare key and car jack, hubcap, lights, gas cap, damage to upholstery of a car, damages to the roof, damages caused by roof rack and any luggage on it, extreme dirtiness in the car, personal belongings in a rented car, damage due to negligence, fuel errors, damage to child seats and baby seats, lack of electricity because of forgotten turned on electrical devices, loss of car documents, loss of registration plate. The car rental company, in any case, is not obligated to replace a flat tyre or damages in music devices (radio, CD/mp3 player, etc.).

Towing costs are not covered by any insurance.

Autounion car rental will not refund any telephone, taxi or hotel costs.

Autounion car rental or the car rental company will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, causing willful damage, off road driving, driving without care and attention or damages caused by negligence and traffic violations.

The client will accept direct responsibility in respect of such claims.

Theft Protection (TP)

Is included in the booking cost, in the case of theft or fire, the client must contact the police and report the incident immediately, and submit a copy of the police report, the rental agreement and the Vehicles keys to the rental location. Responsibility is non-waiverable in case of theft or damages due to a theft attempt (excess applies).

Theft protection does not apply beyond the rental date agreed with the pickup location. For details of this insurance, please check with the supplier on collection of the Vehicle.

Cancellation policy

24 hours prior to arrival no cancellation fee is required, less than 24 hours a cancellation fee equal to the deposit given at the time of reservation/confirmation is required.
