Boyana Church

One of three UNESCO World Heritage sites in or near Sofia, Boyana Church is located in its namesake neighborhood of Boyana at the base of Mount Vitosha. This Orthodox church was built in three main stages, the first in the 10th century with later additions in the 13th and early 19th centuries.

According to UNESCO  Boyana Church is “one of the most complete and perfectly preserved monuments of east European medieval art”.

The National Palace Of Culture

Established in 1981 as part of the state of Bulgaria’s 1300th birthday celebrations, the The National Palace Of Culture in the heart of the city center is a striking sight to behold in itself.

Borisova Gradina Park

The National History Museum
